Samsung Electro-Mechanics announced that it was designated as a top-tier outstanding company on February 26th at the signing ceremony for participating companies in the “2025 Large and Small-Medium Enterprise Safety and Health Cooperation Project” led by the Minister of Employment and Labor. This recognition was given for the company’s achievements in supporting its business partners’ safety and health activities. The signing ceremony, held at the Korea Federation of Banks building in Jung-gu, Seoul, was attended by approximately 150 people, including Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Moon-soo, Director General of Industrial Accident Prevention Supervision Policy Choi Tae-ho, and Samsung Electro-Mechanics’ Global Safety Center Head Lim Seungyong. The Large and Small-Medium Enterprise Safety and Health Cooperation Project is organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency. In this project, large and small-medium enterprises voluntarily form partnerships to develop and implement collaborative solutions for safety and health improvement.
Since 2023, Samsung Electro-Mechanics has been actively participating in the Large and Small-Medium Enterprise Cooperation Project, providing robust support to prevent industrial accidents in its small and medium-sized business partners. Samsung Electro-Mechanics has been implementing a symbiotic cooperation program to prevent accidents and improve safety and health management for its business partners. By 2023, the company had provided consulting services to a total of 123 business partners to help them obtain safety and health management system certifications. Through these efforts, 11 business partners received risk assessment certification, and 2 successfully acquired the System ISO45001(Occupational Health and Safety Management) certification.
*ISO45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) is an international standard established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for occupational safety and health management. It is awarded to organizations that have implemented a systematic management system to ensure the safety and health of workers.
Furthermore, Samsung Electro-Mechanics provided education and consulting on explosion site risk assessment techniques to its business partners, helping them identify and improve hazardous risk factors. The company also contributed to accident prevention and safety culture promotion by providing safety and health items such as cold weather gear and blood pressure monitors to business partner workers to prepare for heat waves and cold snaps.
Samsung Electro-Mechanics CEO Chang Duckhyun emphasized, “Safety and health are our top management values,” and urged, “Let’s create a perfectly safe workplace for both employees and business partners by finding even the hidden 1% of unsafe factors.”
