Samsung Electro-Mechanics held a kick-off meeting for 2022 on January 3.
In his New Year's message titled "Let's start the journey of new challenges and success together," CEO Chang Duckhyun said, "I express my sincere gratitude to all employees who have written a new history despite the challenging situation. The server/automobile market, where we need to pioneer and take on new challenges, is expected to significantly grow. In 2022, we should constantly challenge ourselves and make a leap towards higher goals to expand our presence in new markets while facing up to the global business environment."
"We aim to become a 'top-notch tech components company.' The future of Samsung Electro-Mechanics is a company that creates customer value through constant technological innovation as a total components company, a company that continues to grow no matter the market environment with challenging goals and unrivaled products, and a company whose employees are happy," CEO Chang added. "To this end, all Samsung Electro-Mechanics employees should become top experts in their respective fields, and I will also do my utmost as the chief learning officer (CLO) for the growth of all employees.
He concluded his remarks by saying, "While relentlessly improving our core capabilities, we should respect autonomy and minimize unnecessary regulations to continue to build a flexible organizational culture. Leaders including myself must become a 'trigger' that drives changes and growth of the company by taking on challenges in order for Samsung Electro-Mechanics to take a higher leap forward."
Meanwhile, executives and employees at domestic sites in Suwon, Sejong, and Busan watched the kick-off meeting through live streaming, and awards were given to employees who achieved outstanding performance in the past year.
