Samsung Electro-Mechanics announced on August 10 that its new employees celebrated their first anniversary by volunteering in the local community near the workplace.

This volunteer activity was organized to congratulate the new employees who have taken their first steps into society and dedicated a year of hard work, as well as to share the corporate culture of fulfilling social responsibilities and aiding neighbors in need.

Aimed at fostering mutual growth within the local communities, a variety of volunteer programs were carried out at each business site in Korea.

New employees at the Suwon plant volunteered at Donggwangwon, a childcare facility they have been associated with since 1996, engaging in activities such as facility maintenance and snack preparation. They also participated in social contribution activities such as plogging – picking up trash while walking.

At the Sejong plant, new employees handcrafted over 100 naturally dyed handkerchiefs to be distributed to vulnerable elderly individuals. Employees at the Busan plant created wooden frame kits to be donated to those in need at Nakdong Social Welfare Center and also conducted environmental clean-up activities near the plant.

Professional Hwang Eunjin from the Quality Assurance Department, who attended the event, expressed, "It is fulfilling to participate in sharing with local residents on the occasion of our 1st anniversary at work. This event is meaningful as we were able to provide modest yet practical assistance to our less fortunate neighbors."

In a surprise congratulatory video for the first anniversary, Chang Duckhyun, CEO of Samsung Electro-Mechanics, stated, "I hope that your first year at Samsung Electro-Mechanics has been both joyful and meaningful. I firmly believe that the time you’ve invested in learning, questioning, and putting forth effort throughout the year will serve as a vital asset for your personal growth." He continued, "This year holds special significance as Samsung Electro-Mechanics celebrates its 50th anniversary. I anticipate witnessing the new employees play a pivotal role in shaping the company's path for the next 50 years."
