Samsung Electro-Mechanics held the “2024 Win-Win Cooperation Day”

Samsung Electro-Mechanics declared that it held the “2024 Win-Win Cooperation Day” event with the members of the Component Company Partners’ Council at Ramada Suwon Hotel on March 27.

 

As an event for promising co-existence and mutual growth between Samsung Electro-Mechanics and its partners, the Win-Win Cooperation Day was designed to award the partners that have achieved excellent performances for the past one year and to have mutual communication.

 

After three years of virtual events, the “Win-Win Cooperation Day” was held in person this year, and was attended by about 130 individuals including CEO Chang Duckhyun of Samsung Electro-Mechanics and the executives, and representatives of partner companies, etc.

 


 

At the event, Samsung Electro-Mechanics awarded five partners that have accomplished excellent performances via innovative activities in terms of △ productivity, △ technical development, △ specialty, △ quality and △ compliance.

Toray Advanced Materials, a partner in the development of Samsung Electro-Mechanics’ MLCC, took home the productivity award for maximizing the efficiency of MLCC raw material logistics system while lowering costs. Further, in honor of its consistent quality control process, package substrate partner Atotech Korea - a manufacturer of materials used in the plating process - was selected as an excellent company in the quality category. Additionally, MK Electronics won the compliance management category award after achieving the top score in the areas of labor and human rights, safety environment, including compliance with the wage system and working hours.

 

Sung Kyudong, chairman of the Council and the Representative of EO Technics, said “Let’s collaborate closely with Samsung Electro-Mechanics on innovative ideas to prepare for the future and strengthen competitiveness,” and that "Samsung Electro-Mechanics and all of us shall do our best to build our super-gap competitiveness in 2024." In addition, Samsung Electro-Mechanics held a fair trade agreement ceremony with its primary and secondary partners to prevent unfair trade practices.

 


 

CEO Chang Duckhyun of Samsung Electro-Mechanics said, "As global economic uncertainty continues, we believe that opportunities and crises will coexist," specifying the business environment in 2024.

“We need to secure differentiated core technology and produce competitive products if we are to overcome obstacles and continue developing,” said Chang. "To that end, Samsung Electro-Mechanics and all its partners must work together to secure global competitiveness,” he added. Samsung Electro-Mechanics intends to step up its efforts and support in order to assist its partners in growing stronger.

 

Of its 400 domestic and International partners, Samsung Electro-Mechanics works with roughly 270 domestically; these partners range in size from KRW 1 billion to KRW 1 trillion in annual sales. Among them, 37 major domestic parts companies are listed as “Council” members. With a nearly 40-year history, the Component Company Partners’ Council was established in 1986. The term “Component” in the Council’s name comes from the word “component,” symbolically representing Korea’s leading electronic component company.

 

Meanwhile, with an aim to realize the win-win mindset for mutual growth, Samsung Electro-Mechanics has been supporting △ mutual growth funds and smart factory funds, etc., △ practical improvement such as productivity enhancement, quality innovation, safe environment, △ support for purchase innovation and lower-cost solution development, △ improvement of professional skills and tier-based tailored capacity and △ enhanced communication with partners.
