As a new CEO, Samsung Electro-Mechanics has nominated Kye Hyun Kyung, Executive Vice President at Samsung Electronics on January 20th.
The new CEO Kyung has obtained his Ph.D. in Control and Instrumentation Engineering at Seoul National University and served as Head of Flash Design Team, Head of Flash R&D, and Head of Solution R&D of Memory Business at Samsung Electronics. As a semiconductor design expert, he is expected to contribute to the leap forward of Samsung Electro-Mechanics as a leading company of technological innovation.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electro-Mechanics has announced a total of 12 promoted executives on January 21st, including two Senior Vice Presidents, nine Vice Presidents, and one Master. Samsung Electro-Mechanics has focused on performance and growth potential rather than age and service periods, and has appointed people who can contribute to strengthening company competitiveness.
Two new Senior Vice Presidents including Si Moon Kim, who is responsible for Sale & Marketing and has been recognized for expanding sales and diversifying trading lines, and Sang Nam Kim, Head of MLCC Electronics Manufacturing Technology Group, who has increased competitiveness in MLCC manufacturing technology by leading technology group for electronics after serving as Head of Production Plant at Tianjin, have promoted from Vice Presidents.
According to the strict performance-based human resource management policies, Samsung Electro-Mechanics has announced the promotion list of nine Vice Presidents and one Master.
In Component Business, Chang Hak Choi, head of Component Advanced Development Team, who has contributed to strengthening MLCC business status and to accelerating business for electronics, Jae Yeon Lee, Head of QA Group, and Jung Kyu Park, Head of Electronics Sales Group, have been newly promoted to Vice Presidents.
In Module and Substrate Businesses, Byung Ki Ahn, Head of Camera Module Development Group, and Chang Yeol Oh, Head of BGA Development Group, have been appointed to Vice Presidents.
In Management Support, Rae Soon Park, Head of HR Planning Group, Geun Mok Lee, Head of Accounting Group, Kyung Heon Seo, Head of Information Security Group, and Hang Bok Lee, Head of Legal Group, have been promoted to Vice Presidents.
In addition, Samsung Electro-Mechanics has appointed Han Sang Cho, Head of Image Inspection Equipment, who is an expert in Machine Learning, as a new Master, and the full-scale establishment of R&D and manufacturing sites base on AI and Data Science has begun.
