Samsung Electro-Mechanics is visiting major universities and holding unique events to promote the company to excellent technical talents and improve its recruiting competitiveness.

Wearing witty t-shirts that say “#Looking for newbie in our team,” Samsung Electro-Mechanics recruiters promoted the company by cheering on the students and holding a variety of giveaway events, including not only coffee, but also Galaxy Watches, cameras, and vitamins.

In addition, career consulting booths were available for undergraduate students to share their concerns regarding employment and career to current employees for advice.

Park Bongsoo, Executive Vice President and Head of People Team at Samsung Electro-Mechanics said, “We prepared this event in an effort to encourage the undergraduate students studying for their final exams,” adding, “I hope this creates an opportunity for talented individuals to show interest in Samsung Electro-Mechanics and our materials and components.”

Seo Dongmin, an Electronic and Electrical Engineering major at Sungkyunkwan University said, “I was stressed out with the hot weather and finals but the iced coffee and gifts made my day.” He added, “It was very helpful to be able to receive direct advice from the employee at Samsung Electro-Mechanics.”

Starting with Sungkyunkwan University on June 14th, Samsung Electro-Mechanics plans to carry on the coffee truck event at Hanyang University on the 17th and Seoul National University on the 20th, and in many more universities in the latter half of the year.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics is concentrating its efforts on developing and hiring top-notch technical expertise. Samsung Electro-Mechanics held T&C (Tech & Career) forum for key products such as lenses and semiconductor package substrate, and “Welcome Day for Next-Generation Materials and Parts Development,” and also signed an employment-linked talent training agreement with Pohang University of Science and Technology to research and develop the operation and tasks of customized curriculum for materials and parts.
